Dutch airline Denim Air and Lappeenranta airport are negotiating the opening of the route, which would connect the cities of Finland and Amsterdam.
Denim Air has four airplanes that mainly fly charter flights. According to the specialized Ch-aeronautics publications, a Dutch company can start flying from Lappeenranta already this summer.
“Fontanke.fi” confirmed that At Lappeenranta airport negotiations with the Dutch carrier, and a number of other airlines, including low-cost airlines, are carried out, but the airport director is not willing to speculate about dates and destinations, up to arrangements.
